Johnny Vegas is a Singer, Band Leader and Entertainer living and working in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's National Capital.

Johnny Vegas & His All-Star Band is one of Ottawa’s top musical acts. The group performs a wide range of material from the 50’s to the 80’s. Whether crooning rat pack standards, belting out old time rock and roll, pop, disco or even country, Johnny and the crew always have something for everyone.

The band, made up of seasoned performers, is one of the best groups in the city. This becomes quite evident as the band effortlessly traverses the various styles and eras of music that they perform. Beki Lantos sings and plays percussion, Marty Newman plays electric bass, Gino Scaffidi plays guitar, Peter Beaudoin plays the drums and Eddie Bimm plays piano

Their extensive catalog of music has made them a top act in the city. Besides performing at numerous weddings, anniversaries, Christmas and birthday parties, Johnny has had the pleasure of performing at numerous Gala fund-raisers and corporate events including the 2001 Nokia Brier, the 2003 Juno nominee welcome party hosted by Sheila Copps and even for the Prime Minister on several occasions. The band has performed in almost every major venue and hotel in the city, including Scotia Bank Place, The Congress Centre, The Westin, The Chateau Laurier, The Lord Elgin, The Hilton, Casino Lac Leamy, Rideau Carleton Racetrack Slots, the Ottawa Ex, the Gloucester Fair, the Beechburg Fair, The Tulip Festival as a headline act, the Civic Centre, the Aberdeen Pavilion, Dow’s Lake Pavilion, Landsdowne Park, Andrew Haydon Park, Queen Juliana Park, the Astrolab Theatre, the Press Club, Carleton University, University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, Barrymore’s Music Hall, The Rainbow, Lakeside Gardens, City Hall, The National Gallery of Canada, The Museum of Civilization, The Museum of Nature, The War Museum, The Aviation Museum the West Block and the Centre Block on Parliament Hill as well as headlining The National Arts Centre’s New Year’s Eve Gala for three years in a row (2008 – 2010). Johnny and the band have also been performing at Maxwell’s Bistro on Elgin Street every Wednesday night for almost eighteen years.

Johnny Vegas has made numerous television appearances and has been covered in the media many times over the years including telethons for the CHEO Hospital and the Ottawa Heart institute, musical act on The Tom Green Show, national news stories on CBC and CTV as well as many appearances on local CBC, CTV, CHUM and Rogers television and radio stations. He has also graced the covers of The Toronto Star, The Ottawa Sun, Le Droit, The Ottawa Express, The Centretown Buzz and Ottawa Life Magazine as one the Top 100 people in Ottawa for 2001. Johnny also appeared as himself in two of Lee Demarbre’s hit cult movies: ‘Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter’ and ‘Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace’.
